This amazing place is located right in the heart of the Gardon gorges.  Accessible on foot or by canoe/kayak. Your efforts are sure to be fully rewarded by the sheer beauty of the site. 

A chapel can be found, nestling into the cliffs, while there are also are ruins and a large cave, that of Saint Vérédème. It was occupied during the Palaeolithic period and then by Neanderthal man in the Neolithic period.

If your descent is smooth and quiet, you may be lucky enough to see the tracks of European beavers!
